My Favorite Teacher

Last year I went to the school J.H.S. 194 which both of my sisters went to. They both had told me that there is this really good teacher named Mr. Weishahn. They said that he never gives homework and that he has really good stories from the army that he’d tell us. So sure enough on my first day I find out that I had Mr. Weishahn for my seventh grade Social Studies teacher. When I found that out I was really happy and excited to see how much this teacher could teach me. During the year he taught us a lot of major events from American History in up to 1865 and he also told us a lot of his funny stories. He is my favorite teacher because of all the life lessons he had taught me and because he never gave homework. The first day of the eighth grade I found out that I again had Mr. Weishahn as my teacher. That year I had him for American History 1865 and up. Through the two years with him I learned a lot of things about the world some not even related to Social Studies. He once said to us “the reason I don’t give you homework is because that is like me asking you to brush your teeth in school” which basically meant that is we had to bring work from school home then why not bring work from home to school?. That was pretty much for the most part why he was my favorite teacher, because he was wise and had good phrases that he would tell us at random times. Anytime that he did give homework it was easy and the same goes for the class work that he gave us. He told us a lot of cool stories about the Army. He taught us stuff like a thing called the amnesty box which once a month the sergeants would put a box in a tent and one at a time the soldiers would go into the tent and put an item the box that they weren’t suppose have into the box so that they didn’t have to go through the sergeants finding it and them paying the penalty. He also taught us that when you put the silencer onto
a machine gun and hold the trigger that the silencer would glow red from heat and that they would burn the enemies with it. This is all I have to share with you about my favorite teacher, Mr. Weishahn.

Mr. Testler, this is my 350 word essay that is due on Thursday of the 6th.
